| Still, living in
town also left Tucker feeling hemmed in, and missing her cutting
horses. "I don't know
what made me think that I could be happy living where I couldn't
raise my horses," she said, explaining why she has put this
house back on the market. The home is listed for $2 million.
"I thought I could be a city girl.
But I'm not cut out to be a city girl, even though my neighbors
were very, very nice."
She plans to find something with
some acreage and space, probably somewhere still in the area but
perhaps not quite as big as the former spread in Arrington.

Horse Country - A Celebration of Country Music and the Love of Horses
This stunning book brings together two subjects that millions keep
close to their hearts: country music and horses. With heartwarming stories
set in a must-have four-color design, Horse Country visits the
biggest stars from the Grand Ole Opry and beyond, inviting readers into the
private world they share with their beloved horses.
Horses have always been the symbol of the cowboy, and many of the stars
featured here—both legends and today’s hottest stars, from George Jones,
Charlie Daniels, Lynn Anderson, Tanya Tucker, Brad Paisley, and Willie
Nelson to Hal Ketchum, Chris Cagle, Eddie Montgomery, and Todd Fritsch—grew
up dreaming of being cowboys (or cowgirls). Today, horses are their escape
from the chaos of the world. Based on exclusive interviews, each
story—funny, touching, and uplifting—is accompanied by personal photos,
including some of each artist with his or her horse.

Quotes
"I can't tolerate egotistical
men, someone who likes to boast about what he has or boast about what I am or
have or who he's with. And someone who can't fix a flat tire. I want him
to be able to know something under the hood of a car. If he don't know
anything about what's under the hood, he ain't going to get nothing under my
hood." Country Weekly
"Men are like parking places,
all the good ones are taken." Country Weekly

every now and then." Tanya Tucker Biography - Mavericks

the envelope, she opened that sucker up.... You know I think we would have been

a great singer'." Calgary Sun

Winnipeg Sun
"I still go shopping at
Kroeger's and Wal-mart and I mix and mingle with people who aren't in the music

"Mama sings good, and she's
pretty. When I grow up, I want to sing, too." Layla (6 yrs) Country Weekly
"Tanya Tucker's always had that
sassy cowgirl thing about her. I love what Tanya's always stood for.
Unfortunately, she's one of those people that can pull off just about anything,
too. I think Tanya's whole thing is about danger. To see how close
to the edge she can get out there. I love her." That's Country Magazine

"He's such a sweet snake."
TLC's Tuckerville
"Making music and creating new
music fills me with all kinds of emotions. A little bit of fear, a
hopefulness that people will like what I'm doing, some excitement in trying
something different and a satisfaction in figuring out how to make a
particular song the best it can be. There's always something more you can
do, a way to make it bigger and better." Our Brown County - Tamela Meredith
Partridge
"I love working and herding
cattle. And I love the power and control and the wonderful feeling I get
riding cutting horses. Two minutes and thirty seconds is what you get in
the arena when you're showing and that's one of the most exciting two minutes
and thirty seconds I've ever had in my life." Our Brown County - Tamela
Meredith Partridge
