ROCKS!
Several thousand folks from all ages showed up at the outdoor concert venue at Silver Springs Park. The day started out pretty cool for March in Florida, but by concert time the sun was shining bright.
Tanya's band got the concert going with Porter, Marcia and Huck each singing a song. Tanya's new backup singers are very impressive.
Miss T came on stage to "Some Kind of
Trouble" and then ripped through a long
set of classic hits. Also included was "Old Weakness", a single from
the latest cd. Tanya ROCKS on this song!! Hope it stays in the set
list.
The bar-stool medley was phenomenal as always. Layla came out on stage during "What's Your Mama's Name" for a 'Kodak' moment that got everybody using their camera. Lots of singing along during the classic medley set from the audience.
Early on during the concert Tanya started
asking
for sunglasses and went through several pairs of "Walmart specials"
trying to find some that fit and were clean. I am pretty sure it was a
Walmart kind of audience, so no problem with that.
Tanya also performed a heartfelt "What Do I do With Me". Good news is Tanya said her mom is doing much better.
Although Tanya did not talk about
Tuckerville, she did talk about the new studio cd she is working on -- and said
it is the best cd she has ever done. In my opinion, Tanya keeps getting
better so I am thinking that ain't an exaggeration.
Be sure and check out the Tanya merchandise at the next concert you attend. They are always adding new items. This weekend they had a limited number of very nice quality denim jackets with the 'Tanya' logo embroidered in orange.
Tanya closed the concert with Amazing Grace and segued into Delta Dawn. Can you ever hear that one enough? Tanya left the stage very briefly and came back to perform "My Arms Stay Open All Night". It was extremely cool to see her perform this song -- what a great way to end another stellar performance.
