Author Topic:   What Memorabilia Wouls You like
Peter posted 12/29/07 10:28 AM     mailto:petercunningham@ntlworld.com
Guys,I was looking at some of the Tanya memorabilia I have gathered over the years yesterday, and I do have some pretty good stuff even if I say so myself. However there is one piece I would love to own and it is the belt with her name cut into it that she wore on the cover of her first album 'Tanya', I could be persuaded to trade anything I have for that, but I would expect the chances are non existent. I thought it would be good to hear what your favorite is....
Ron posted 12/29/07 4:48 PM     mailto:beauchane16@aol.com
Hi Peter.. That would be a COOL piece of memorabilia to own... the coolest that I have, I feel, is the framed Billboard ads for the albums, "Tear Me Apart", "Strong Enough To Bend" and "Girls Like Me".. they hang on a wall in my "office" room at home. I did acquire a standup cutout that was promoting "Tear Me Apart" when it was first released which i really, really like. As far as what other memorabilia I'd really like....hmmmmmm.. maybe the necklace with the Texas shaped pendant she wears on the cover of the "Girls Like Me" cover that one record reviewer for People Magazine said, "was about to dissappear into some pretty impressive cleavage".. LOL.. Happy New Year, Ron

Seriously, I just wanna talk...................UNTIL, the crown and coke kick in, the whahtever happens, happens......LMAO!
AL. Dee posted 12/30/07 5:20 AM
Hmmmmmm, I would like to go partying with her one night, where she was in disguise, wearing a wig and nobody recognized her, and she could just let loose and be herself....I think that would be the ultimate memorabilia!!!!!
Bob posted 12/31/07 1:00 AM
I'm With AL Dee and Michael. How fun would that be. I have a prett good collection of Tanya stuff. My favorite is the picture of her and me when I met her for the first time in 1980. However, I do love my life-size TNT and Black Velvet cut-outs. Her signing my tattoo I will never forget too.
Michael posted 12/31/07 1:03 AM
Yall having your tatoo's signed by T is a memory in it self....a life time memory!
Dennis posted 12/31/07 2:35 AM
I just got a copy of Rolling Stone Magazine with
Tanya on the cover (1974). That's definitely up
there. However, my favorite is still a signed album.
She had just finished riding the Locknest Monster at
Busch Gardens. I was so stunned that she signed
my album cover that I couldn't speak.
This may sound weird, but I know when I die I will
have several songs played at my funeral. My
friends will pay...I'm thinking...You are So Beautiful
and/or Smell The Flowers.
I would love to just go out and have dinner with
her. So glad others are crazy like me:)
Cindi posted 12/31/07 5:31 AM
OK, I do have my cherished share of memorabilia, but I cherish my Tanya Tucker doll collection. I also have every album that came out on vinyl signed and put in album frames and on one of the walls in my spare bedroom of which is called Tuckerville. I also have a full signed script, pics, and stage stats of the movie Hard Country. It was filmed in Bakersfield Ca. My Father, my ex-husband, and I were in the movie as well. That is a week that we spent with Tanya, Kim Basinger, and Jan-Michael Vincent. Tanya was sure a lot nicer than Kim was. What is truly strange is that the part of the movie filmed in the little house, belongs to my Brother-in-law.s He owned it then too but did not get to meet any of the stars.

Hi Everyone:
Next up the battle between the reigning champ "Can I See You Tonight?" and the newest challenger "Just Another Love".. as mentioned previously "Can I See You Tonight?" was a #4 smash of MCA's Dreamlovers. "Just Another Love" returned our girl to the #1 position and it was the second single from the "comeback" Girls Like Me album. Voting starts now and will end Wednesday evening, January 9, 2008. Please vote ONLY once. THANKS!!!!

Ron posted 1/4/08 0:34 AM     mailto:beauchane16@aol.com
Hi Everyone:
Happy Thursday from Northern California where we are experiencing the first of at least 2 or 3 monster storms. Friday promises 2-3 inches of rain with 40-50 MPH winds. While perusing the "G" group of songs I found four songs, only one of which was ever released as a single And looking a little farther ahead, I see that the "J" group only has two songs in it. So I have decided to list the "G" and "J" groups as one group. Voting begins now and will end Sunday evening, January 6, 2008. Thanks to all, Ron. Here are your choices to see which will then have the unenviable task of trying to unseat current champion "Can I See You Tonight?" as we trudge forward in our voting.
1. Girls Like Me
2. Greener Than The Grass We Laid on
3. Gonna Love You Anyway
4. Guess I'll Have To Love Him More
5. Just About Now
6. Just Another Love

two different songs for sure.... here are the lyrics for Just About Now (apparently Faith Hill recorded this one too) ..........
Just about now I'd be watching you wake up
Feeling my heart beat with yours
Just about now is when we would make love
Like all of the mornings before
But I know it don't help to turn the clock back
'Cause I'm not gonna make it til I face this face
This is not about trying to go back in time
This is not about where I'll be a year down the line
It's just moment to moment, surviving somehow
This is not about then, this is just about now
Just about now you'd pull in the driveway
And I'd be there waving hello
Run to my arms, you'd kiss me and hold me
As if you've never let go
And it's just about now when the tears start to fall
And I wonder if I'm gonna make it at all
This is not about trying to go back in time
This is not about where I'll be a year down the line
It's just moment to moment, surviving somehow
This is not about then, this is just about now

I am pretty sure you can download it bebop..... go to realplayer..... it is actually a pretty good song. It was on a Nascar LP back in the 90s. I think it was an intro song for Nascar one year also. (If I remember correctly, Tanya was the only female artist to appear on that record). Ok, if I got anything wrong, somebody correct me.

Ok, all.... here we go... "Can I See You Tonight?", the reigning champ looks to make it four in a row. Again, this is a #4 hitin the early 80's from T's Dreamlovers album and has been a fan favorite for over 20 years... the competition is "Greener Than The Grass We Laid On".. this single i believe peaked a #18 and has a lot of support on here. Remember ONLY vote ONCE =).. Thanks to everyone. This fight starts now and will end Friday evening at 6:00 PM PST. I will make this the official time that voting ends whether or not I was officially at home to officially end it.. LOL.. Ya never know what a Friday night might bring.... OK, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to this GREAT HIT... "Greener Than The Grass {We Laid On) has nothing to be ashamed of. "Can I See You Tonight?" can take a breather as we now vote on its next opponent from Group H. The voting for that group of songs continues in the thread I am fixing to now open. I usually agree with Chet Flippo on 'stuff' country music related and I agree with most of this article as well. (check it out on TT on the net). Chet talked about how some of the legends (Dolly, Tanya, Loretta, Tammy, Patsy) made it to the top. He also accurately stated that all of the legends had one very important thing in common: a unique voice. Just thought it was odd for Chet to draw all of these parallels and then make the point that the legends ALL had a unique voice.... and Taylor definitely does not. At any rate, Tanya was included in some very good company... hall of fame company actually.

Michael posted 1/11/08 3:32 AM
I read the article and thought to myself....HUMMMM, Taylor Swift??? There is nothing "Unique" about her voice, what-so-ever. When you hear Tanya on the Radio, you know who it is without a doubt as well as Loretta, Tammy, and Dolly. Taylor S. to me, sounds like some Disney Cartoon Character that wears prom dresses and little sparkle trinkets on her cheekbones. Yep, she is a beautiful young lady so, maybe modeling might be a better choice and mostly, I think she will be a flash in the pan...MHO of coarse.
Ron posted 1/11/08 4:03 AM     mailto:beauchane16@aol.com
i just downloaded Taylor Swifts "Teardrops On My Guitar" last night.. i have never heard it before but was using some Christmas ITUNES gift cards.. it was pleasant enough. but not worth more than two or three listens.. i agree.. she is not that great..... she made a wise choice by choosing a song called "Tim McGraw" as her first single and most sales probably came from Tim McGraw's fans.. i feel the time has pretty much passed for anyone to have any longevity in music as in days gone by.. even Tanya's comment in here interview saying Gretchen Wilson will probably be in it for the long haul won't come true. Isn't Gretchen already a victim of the sophomore jinx?
Bob posted 1/12/08 11:21 PM
Junior Jinx too. 3rd album wasn't that great. I think the Muzik Mafia has had its day. Taylor Swift. Sweet voice, couple of sweet tunes...Nothing memorable. I agree...The legends. All have voices that make you know who they are....We do not have any new legends at this time. They all sound alike, with the exception of, maybe, Miranda Lambert. Tanya's voice is definitely unmistakeable (sp). Definiely a legend from the moment the First note of Delta Dawn was sung.

Tanya is in this week's collector's edition of country weekly - there is a bright yellow banner that says "Top 25 most amazing stories of 2007". Go to page 39 and Tanya is #20 - titled "Tanya's troubled times". It talks about the dog bite story, the Uhaul story and then the California wildfire/house story. There is a pic of Jerry and Tanya hugging. (I know we aren't supposed to talk about the Uhaul story, but I guess it's ok if CW does!)

Always NEGATIVE SHIT, yes I bought mine! Oh the woes of Tanya, what about the GOOD of TANYA??? Hey, at least they are STILL talking about her...
Kathy Goss posted 1/5/08 4:15 PM
Trouble seems to follow Tanya some time, but it's never her fault. The dog bite, she has to be careful who she invites into her home, because someone is always looking to get money without working for it. The Uhaul problem, everyone seems to like tanya's choice of clothes, because they keep disappearing, if it isn't the Uhaul, it's the airlines. As for the Malibu fire, there were a lot of homes burned, but it was better the homes than the people who lived in them. I hope this will be a great year for Tanya and her family, both in her music career and in good health for her and her family. I would like to see positive things written about Tanya instead of the problems that are brought on her by other people and if the media needs help finding these positive things they can email me or any of her fans and we will be happy to help. OK, for all you guys who haven't figured it out by now, I've run away from my home in Mobile, Al. and moved to St.Cloud, Fl., same town Fl.Dee lives in! I left my son and his girlfriend and her baby in our house, and I'm startin' over again on my own....never can tell what the hell is gonna happen with me!!!! Oh well, gotta tell ya'll about something funny that happened during my move. I hired "Miranda's Moving and Storage" to help me move, Fl.Dee was the driver...( I was gonna hire my ex-husband to drive the U-Haul...but I was afraid he'd steal all my jewelry and clothes...ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!)Anyway, Fl.Dee is driving her truck leading the way, and Maggie (my dog) and I are following in my car....my CD player is broken, so I've got my MP3 player plugged in so I can listen to 8 hrs of all my fav songs. Somewheere around Tallahasse, Fl.Dee call's me up on the cell phone and says..."Hey..Al.Dee...turn your radio on to channel 88.1....they just played 3 Vern Gosdin songs and 3 Tanya Tucker songs in a row..without a break or nothin....."....LMAO...she's so excited...I look down at my radio and yep, it's on 88.1...I start laughing my ass off...she's picked up my signal from my MP3 player on HER car radio...I can't freakin' stop laughing at her...so she asks "what are you laughing at?"...so I give her the names of the last six songs my MP3 player played, and she says "yes, you must be listening to the same station I'm listening to"...ROTFLMFAO....I couldn't stop laughing and had to tell her to pull off the road. When she pulled off th4 road and rolled down her window, I turned the volumne up on my radio, she smiled real big and said isn't this a great station?"!!!! I finally told her she was picking up the signal from my MP3 player! We laughed about that the rest of the trip!!!!

Thanks for the comments FL Dee.. Feel Right surprises me too.. but its success in 2007 can be related to two things.. as I have stated before... It appears on the "Definitive Collection" which was VERY popular this year and since that is an album download only.. much of "Feel Right's" success is attributed to the fact that it was on an album on which the only choice was to buy every song on it.. what put it over the top and into the TOP 25 as compared to other songs on the "Definitive Collection" is that it was often downloaded as a solo download from the CD "16 Biggest Hits". "The Man That Turned My Mama On" for whatever reason is a very popular download. Thanks, Ron

Me thinks we have a HUGE battle brewing this time. Defending giant "Can I See You Tonight?" faces probably its toughest competition so far as it takes on "Here's Some Love" head to head and toe to toe. Both of these songs were recorded by Tanya while she was on MCA. Both were huge hits. "Can I See You Tonight?" peaking at #4 and "Here's Some Love" going all the way to the TOP. OK, have fun. I am, to be honest, amazed at the margin of victory. Congratulations to "Here's Some Love" for qualifying for a one on one battle and BIGGER CONGRATULATIONS to "Can I See You Tonight?" for its staying power. Another great victory. So "Can I See You Tonight?" can now take a breather as we move to the next round of voting. This thread is now finished and I will open a new one for GROUP I. THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT VOTED. Author Topic:   Group "I" Voting In The Tanya Tucker Fan Favorite Song Elimination Extravaganza
Ron posted 1/18/08 2:10 AM     mailto:beauchane16@aol.com
Hi Everyone:
It is now time to vote for our favorite TANYA TUCKER song that begins with the letter "I". While making the list, I came up with 32 songs that start with the letter "I". I know that to even try to select your favorite from such a long list would probably prove nearly impossible. I thought about splitting the "I" songs into two groups but even with 16 each that would be a HUGE task for everyone to choose. So this is the decision I have reached. I am going to split voting for Group "I" into three different sections. Group "I", Section 1 will contain 11 songs. The winner of that will then take on current powerhouse "Can I See You Tonight?" Then I will list the songs from Group "I", Section 2. That winner will then take on the winner between "Can I See You Tonight?" and the winner from Group "I", Section 1. Then I will list the 10 remaining songs in Group "I", Section 3 and that winner will take on whichever song is the current champion at that time. Hope this is not too confusing. Also, I hope everyone is ok with the way I am choosing to do this. I appreciate EVERYONE's participation and realize this is going to be a long process until we reach our eventual winner. So now, without further ado, I present to you, Tanya's songs that begin with the letter "I", Section 1. Please choose your favorite song from the choices below and please ONLY vote once. Voting starts now and ends, Sunday evening, January 20, 2008 at 6 PM PST whether I am here to declare the winner at that time or not.ENJOY!!!! The songs appear in the assigned section in no particular order. It is really just how they are loaded onto my IPOD.
Group "I", Section 1
1. I'll Take Today
2. It's A Little Too Late
3. I've Learned To Live
4. It Hurts Like Love
5. I Don't Believe That's How You Feel
6. I Bet She Knows
7. It's A Cowboy Lovin' Night
8. I'll Come Back As Another Woman
9. It's Only Over For You
10. I Won't Take Less Than Your Love
11. I Oughta Let Go

Good logic, Fl Dee... i remember the last concert I went to in Oroville and "It's A Little Too Late" got a big response.. so did "I'll Come Back As Another Woman"... i like a LOT of these songs but my criteria when picking songs is "which of these would I simply have to hear again if I could only choose one".. so I am gonna vote with Dawn on this one.. my vote goes to "It's A Little Too Late".. thanks for both y'all's votes.. Oh I've been waiting for this one, though it is so frickin' difficult as I love all these songs - including the fairly unheard "I Oughta Let Go" but my second all time fav TT song ever is "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" when she growls in the bridge, "you'll hear the echo of my proooomise, how you left and how I cried..." and the gut wrenching "the one you finally give your heeeart to will leave you cryin' in the night..." Tuff tuff Tanya - the way I love her... oh so my vote goes to "I'll Come Back..."

You guys aren't gonna believe this one either! It seems like everywhere I go I see Glen Campbell's picture. When Fl.Dee, Mark, Natalie, Casey and I went to Tuckerville during Fan Fair last summer..we stopped at a TGI Fridays to have a margarita, and low and behold they had a picture of Glen Campbell on their wall staring at me! Then the day before we left, we ate at a truck stop close to our hotel, and damn if they didn't have a picture of him on their wall also!!! So I ragged them about it and not having TT's picture up also. Then I went back when I was there in October, and the truck stop had taken all the pictures down...LMFAO! Okay, now to the point of the story....I'm down here working Security at the Orlando Convention Center...they're having a PGA Event and I'm assigned to a booth who makes golf clothes and their name is "LaCoste"...how ironic is that???? So I've been standing at this booth and I'm looking at some pictures displayed at the booth next to mine, I look over there and it looks like a picture of Glen Campbell with Arnold Palmer...(back when he was dating Tanya) he had the beard, mustache...and next to that picture is a picture of Arnold Palmer standing with a girl that looks like Tanya did back then. I'm saying to myself..."Self...there is no freakin' way there could possibly be a picture of Glen and Tanya that I'm sitting there staring at!" So I go over there and check it out...it's not Tanya but it IS Glen!!! Yuck! I've had to stand there and stare at his sorry ass for 3 freakin' days now, and I still have 46 hours more to go!!!!! Puke, Puke, Puke!!!! I don't seem to be able to get away from his ugly mug!!!ROTFLMFAO

Hi Everyone:
We will now start voting for our favorite song between "Can I See You Tonight?" and "I'll Come Back As Another Woman." This should prove to be one heck of a fight. "Can I See You Tonight?" has mowed down every song that has had the nerve to battle it. The two songs are both GREAT but VERY different. "Can I See You Tonight?" was Tanya's last big hit for MCA. It rose to #4 in its day and has proven to be VERY POPULAR among us diehard fans. "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" was the third single from Tanya's first Capitol album, "Girls Like Me". It shot up the charts finally landing at #2. It is a fan favorite during concerts. Voting begins now and will end at 6 PM PST on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!! Ron

Hi Everyone:
Well another round of the Tanya Tucker Fan Favorite Song Elimination is behind us. "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" has resoundedly defeated "Can I See You Tonight?" and is our current champion. Kudos to it. And before I open the next thread.. I think we should ALL stand up in front of our computers and give "Can I See You Tonight?", Tanya Tucker, the songwriters and the musicians and anyone else involved with the success of this song a BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE. It has proven to be one of our favorites from the Tucker catalogue. It kicked a lot of A$$ on its journey here. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. I will now be opening a new thread for the next voting. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THAT VOTED!

Author Topic:   Tanya Mentioned in Letters Section to Billboard Magazine Last Week
Ron posted 1/27/08 10:32 PM     mailto:beauchane16@aol.com
Hi Everyone:
A friend sent me a link to Billboard Magazine's website this morning. A TT fan wrote in wanting to know what Tanya's verified album sales are since Soundscan was introduced in 1991. The answer is according to SoundScan her sales have exceeded 6 million since 1991.This does NOT count sales prior.I know the RIAA has her certified at sales of 10.5 million. And when you consider the fact that her last big selling CD was "Soon" in 1994, the six million figure is great. They state her biggest seller since Soundscan started is "What Do I Do With Me' with actual sales topping the one million mark and the second bigges is "Can't Run From Yourself" at 739,000. GO TANYA!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone:
It is time for another one on one challenge round. "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" goes for its second knockout against "I've Never Said No Before'!!!... "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" was a MAJOR hit for our Miss T... blasting up the charts and settling in at #2 off of the Capitol album.. "Girls Like Me". Its competition this time is a wonderful song off the WONDERFUL "Tear Me Apart" album called "I've Never Said No Before". This song was never released as a single but I am always entranced when I hear it. I even once saw a drag queen lip sync it at a show years ago. Voting starts now and ends Tuesday evening, January 29, 2008 at 6 p.m. PST. THANKS EVERYONE!!

Hard to choose between an old great, I'm the Singer, You're the Song and a new one, I Can Do That. I guess I'll choose I Can Do That. I saw Tanya say that she recorded an even better version of it than the one on the album; has anyone heard the other one?
Ron posted 1/30/08 4:55 AM     mailto:beauchane16@aol.com
Rod, I have not heard the version you are talking about.. mmm.. cannot imagine it being much better.. but WOW.. if it is!!!... I think "I Can Do That" is a great song... i also have always liked "I'm The Singer, You're The Song" and "I've Got Somebody" was a very fun song off her "Dreamlovers" CD.. but I gotta vote for "If It Don't Come Easy".. I remember she made it to the CMA awards hours after getting out of the Betty Ford clinic and opened the CMA show that year coming through the audience singing it.. she got a big welcome from one of the guys for Alabama.. the video was on or maybe still is on You Tube. So for me.. I gotta vote for "If It Don't Come Easy". Thanks and thanks for your vote, Rod.

Hi Everyone:
Tanya starts 2008 off with a bang as far as downloaded singles from Real Player goes. She had a total of 70 different songs receive heavy download action. Since this is a new year i think i am going to revert back to each month reporting the cumulative song rankings for the year as opposed to only monthly tallies. Tried and true, "Delta Dawn" starts 2008 in first place, but #2 "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane" wasn't far behind. As a CD, "The Definitive Collection" was tepid during the month, so there is more variety in the countdown. "Fire To Fire" and "Strong Enough To Bend" CD's performed well. "Call On Me" was a successful single this month landing at #13. The TOP TEN pretty much reads as a greatest hits list. Anyhow, here are Tanya's TOP 70 2008 Downloads in their order of populartiy. Fl. Dee.. Black Water Bayou does ok on the download chart. Not exceptionally well but for whatever reason it caught fire in January 2008. The 20 Greatest Hits CD is available by individual tracks, unlike the Definitive Collection, so Black Water Bayou is being chosen as a download on its own. I am also surprised at how well "Playing For Keeps" is doing lately. It is her #3 download for yesterday. I think the reason Realplayer lists a daily ranking for sales is that a casual fan can choose from that list instead of perusing thru each CD. Thanks, Ron

There is a new DVD on Amazon. I do not think it is the one everyone is waiting on, but I bought it anyway. It says it is a mini concert and has a recent date on it. On the front is T with her blanket jacket and scarf around neck and cowboy hat. It did not list the tracks. I wondered if it could be a companion to the live concert that is available for download on realplayer that was taken from the Renaissance center concert. Anyway I will let you know when I get it. It is one I have sure never seen before. I got it for $4.98 on the new and used site for it. That was the only cheaper one there so it must be newly out.
Does anyone else know any more about it?

I have the DVD from the country store collection that is out in the UK. I ordered it from there. I love it, love it, love it. The one I ordered now only is about 24 min. That is what made me think it is the DVD from the download at realp layer. It will probably be some of the same taken from the country store collection. Anyway, for $4.98 I thought I could buy it and add it to my collection. I will let you all know what is on it.

It is only 4 songs taken from the Orlando Church street station vidio I already own. It does have an added feature of "Origins of Country Music" but not enough extra to waste our money on boo, boo, boo!!

Author Topic:   Group "D" voting in the Tanya Tucker Fan Favorite Song Battle
Ron posted 2/5/08 3:03 AM     mailto:beauchane16@aol.com
Hi Everyone:
As you may recall in the beginning of this project, I decided to skip over Group D because it contains the BIG D, and I don't mean Dallas. I have wrestled as to when I should introduce this group. My first inclination was to leave it for last. But I have now decided to open Group "D" up for voting at this time. My logic (which can be as flawed as anyone's) is that while "Delta Dawn" is Tanya's most recognized single and certainly her best seller even to this day, that this might be a phenomena that is limited to casual fans. I have a feeling that us diehards don't necessarily consider "Delta Dawn" as our personal favorite. Only time will tell if i am correct or incorrect. So here we go.. here are y'all's choices from Group D. The voting starts now and ends Thursday evening, February 7, 2008 at 6 PM PST. Thanks to all. Ron
Group D
1. Daddy Long Legs
2. Delta Dawn
3. Don't Go Out
4. Don't Let My Heart Be The Last To Know
5. Don't Believe My Heart Can Stand Another You
6. Danger Ahead
7. Down To My Last Teardrop
8. Dancin' The Night Away

12. Depend On You

Hi Everyone:
We are now ready to vote for our favorite between current champ "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" and "Delta Dawn". This promises to be a VERY INTERESTING matchup. "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" has bested "Can I See You Tonight?" and "If It Don't Come Easy" and now takes on its MOST DIFFICULT task yet. "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" was a VERY SUCCESSFUL single off T's Capitol album "Girls Like Me" and soared to #2 helping ignite Tanya's career to full blown SUCCESS in late 1986 to early 1987 finally topping out at #2 on the Billboard charts. "Delta Dawn" was Tanya's first single and sold over 300,000 copies during its release climbing to #6 on the Billboard charts and is to this day after SO MANY HITS considered to be her signature song. Where would she (and we) be without it.. who knows. Helen Reddy sold over one million singles on the pop charts and garnered a #1 hit with it, but Tanya's does seem to be the most memorable. It is a download giant for her as we cruise into the 21st century. So, get ready, think it all out, weigh each against the other and vote for the one that you would choose if you could only hear one of them again. BOTH great concert songs...this should be FUN!.. Voting starts now and will end Sunday night, February 10, 2008 at 6PM PST. THANKS!!!! RON

This really shocks me I was sure when we got to the D's Delta Dawn was gonna kick butt.I have to agree with Michael Delta Dawn put T on the map & the music world really took notice of her remarkable talent and years from now when people hear that song it will not be the name Bette Midler or Helen Reddy that pop into their heads it will be FOREVER the one and only great Miss Tanya Tucker ROCK ON!!!!!!

I agree with Bebophow; while Tanya has other songs that I like more, this time I have to go with Delta Dawn.

I love Delta Dawn and it's true we wouldn't have TT without that first signature hit, but when it came time to fight back and reclaim her name on the charts it was the Girls Like Me album that showed she was a survivor, a tough, sexy, super talented survivor, and I love my Tanya sassy and sexy so my vote goes to "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" - I remember hearing that on the radio when I was but a wee tyke and loved it. That's when I really got into Tanya Tucker and her music, so that's my story and my vote.

Thanks Bradley.. i am with FL DEE.. i like to read your insights... all the songs ever listed and to be listed in this game are GREAT because Tanya sang them!!!.. Right now. "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" is besting "Delta Dawn" 8-6. The two battles that "Delta Dawn" has been in so far are the two closest since the game's inception. Thanks everyone, Ron

Hi Everyone:
Well, it is over. Another one in the history books. "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" has toppled "Delta Dawn" 8-7 to maintain its champion status. Will it be the fan favorite in the end? Only time will tell. Congratulations to BOTH songs. They have served Tanya well. Delta Dawn in a CLASSIC and always will be. But this time, "I'll Come Back As Another Woman" triumphs. Will now close this thread and start the next round of voting. YAY!! Thanks to EVERYONE for your votes. Ron
